A while back the homie KAS released a new track via Soundcloud dubbed “Goals.” An artist who continues to show off his vast skill set, KAS is clearly finding his footing. The production on “Goals” is hypnotic to say the least, KAS does a good job of utilizing each breakdown providing a medley of flows. If this is what he has had up his sleeve we can’t wait to hear more. One of his best yet, check out “Goals” for yourself above and make sure to keep an eye out for more from KAS.

One of the better breweries in MPLS is Dangerous Man. Once you walk in you will notice the place is full of life, and full of good beer. Dangerous Man offers a variety of beers, which are all reasonably priced from $3-5. The slightly modern place, with its towering columns, provides a rather aesthetically pleasing place to drink as well. The guys at DMB encourage anyone to bring in their own food, claiming to be a BYOF establishment (since they do not offer food). Most importantly, the guys at DMB will only sell their beer at their establishment – so there is literally no other way to find these brews unless you step foot into the micro-brewery. As long as it is not a Monday, make your way down to Dangerous Man Brewing Company for some tasty brews for an affordable price.
The Twin Cities’ music scene continues to gain strength behind an entirely new cast of up and coming talent. While young artists like Nazeem, Spencer Joles, Drelli, and KAS continue to gain momentum, there is also a long list of producers who are beginning to be noticed. One of which is Jack Daily, 1/15 of Smash Bros, he has amassed an impressive catalog on Soundcloud. His most recent release comes in the form of Season 9, a 19 track instrumental tape that shows off Daily’s wide range of sounds. There’s plenty of room for progress, but all signs are pointing towards a bright future for the kid. Check out Season 9 above and be on the look out for more from Jack Daily.
In light of the Thanksgiving season, we’re highlighting a Memorable Movie Moment from Al Pacino‘s long overdue Oscar-win for Best Actor in 1992’s Scent of a Woman. Generally there’s only one scene per post, but I simply can’t write about Scent of a Woman without also highlighting Al Pacino’s closing monologue at the film’s conclusion. Therefore, you get two memorable moments this week instead of just one, so enjoy it! *SPOILER’S AHEAD… Continue reading
The homie Devon Reason recently released some newness in the form of a project titled Reazoliini. At only 5 tracks the record breezes by, but not without making it’s presence known. Entirely produced by Reason’s longtime collaborator, Travis Gorman, Reazoliini is a concrete improvement from any of his previous work. Tracks like “50 in a 30” provide a club rocking euphoria while tracks like “Brabs in a Bucket” have a much more conscious tone. A solo effort for the most part, Muja Messiah registers the only feature besides Dwynell Roland’s back vocals on “Nukin Futz.” Check out Reazoliini for yourself above and be on the look out for more from Devon Reason.

This little establishment is a must stop for Chicago dog lovers and cheeseburger fiends. Uncle Franky’s, the original establishment, offers a legit Chicago style menu at a reasonable price. The food itself is absolutely on point. Whether it’s a Chicago dog, a Juicy Lucy, Italian Beef, Philly Cheese Steak, or some freshly cut fries; Uncle Franky’s does it right. The tiny building is located smack dab in the neighborhoods of NE, and can easily be missed. Next time you are cruising down Broadway, keep yours eyes peeled, you might want to make the stop.

The Viking Bar is looking like the place to be tomorrow night. Our friends from My Parent’s Bassment recently started their “Thirsty Thursday” series over at the Viking and this week they’ve got an extra special guest. The south side’s own Drelli will be in the building for a live performance and there will be plenty of drink specials to fuel the party. This one is 21+ and FREE with a college ID, otherwise the door is only $5; make sure to stop by if you’re looking for something to do.
