It looks like the collaborations haven’t stopped with these two groups. This latest track off of, G I R L, is downright funky. It is to bad these guys haven’t made an album together yet, cause that would be littered with hit songs. What baffles us is that we can’t recall a record that Daft Punk was ever featured on. Between all of Pharrell’s recent success and now this, it seems as if his fame will continue to rise. Enjoy it while you can, because in a few weeks this will be repetitive as all hell.
Inhale Clothing Co & Dangerous Man Brewing will be putting together a dope show tomorrow night. Mike Mictlan will be headlining while Major G, DeeTee, Dom Milli & SmokeyDot take care of the opening duties. The SkyWay Theatre’s Studio B will be the place to be, tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Good beer and good music, what more can you ask for?

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to see sounds? Okay, this started off real deep. But seriously, the thought of being able to see high and low end sound waves would be absolutely insane. This is exactly what Bertrand Lanthiez had thought of and visualized with this art piece. Bertrand, whom is a Paris based artist, designed this piece using fabric and beams of light to create a one of a kind experience. Watch as these chill rhythms sooth your mind and body through a unique and one of a kind experience by Bertrand. It is a shame that this is not around these parts (the US), but this video will do for now. Enjoy.
The new Vita.mn dropped yesterday and the man Botzy made one of the covers. As one of Vita.mns 5 “Are You Local?” finalists, Botzy will now perform at 7th St Entry on March 6th for a chance to win a trip down to SXSW and $1000 bucks. Needless to say, everyone should make it out to the show and support your favorite local acts; this is a good opportunity for a lot of people to do something dope down in Austin. I would write a whole splurge about this trailer and how exciting it is, and about how this is Bryan Cranston’s first big project since Breaking Bad ended on AMC, but there is really no need. This one speaks for itself. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards and was written by Dave Callaham and screenwriter Max Borenstein and is scheduled to hit theaters this May. Cranston’s costars include Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Judging from the trailer I’m sure this will be in IMAX and 3D, but don’t take my word for it. Just check this shit out…
A couple of days ago, Alex Wiley released some newness via the good guys at Closed Sessions. Entitled “Own Man”, the track features Pivot Gang’s Mick Jenkins and production from Odd Couple. It’s nice to hear from Wiley again since his previous release, hopefully this is a sign of things to come; peep the track below and keep an eye out for more from both artists.
This dark chocolate American Stout hails out of Detroit, Michigan. After pouring your first glass, you can’t help but notice the rich and dark color of the beer. As the brew touches your lips and your tastebuds begin to figure out what has happened, you realize this is a damn good beer by the guys of Atwater Brewing.
The overall taste is a medium chocolaty taste and smell, which is nice considering most chocolate stouts are overpowering. While not being overwhelmed by hops, chocolate, or a sugary sweetness, the beer serves well at any time of day. Smooth as velvet.
For some reason this Saison by 21st Amendment just hits the spot. While this has received mixed reviews by some, we feel it is certainly one worth trying. After grabbing a six pack, it was time to crack open a delicious can and dissect what was inside.
Sneak Attack pours like most Saisons, but maybe even lighter in color than most. The brew has a very light feel to it overall, leaving it to be unusually easy to drink with little to no aftertaste. With a light mixture of sweet, spicy and wheat flavors, the beers is rather enjoyable making for one refreshing beverage. If you haven’t tried any of 21st Amendments’ brews, we highly recommend grabbing a six pack.

One of Chicago’s youngest in charge, Taylor Bennett will be throwing a fan appreciation show at Reggie’s tomorrow. The event is all ages and tickets are only $3, no other artists have been listed; but there’s bound to be a bunch of familiar faces on stage throughout the night. By the looks of things, it’s going to be a busy 2014 for the Bennett family (Chance & Taylor); hopefully both brothers can keep it up. If you’re looking for something to get into early this is it, especially if you’re on a budget; click the link below for tickets.
Earlier today, we got word that the homie Cody DeCamry will be covering Level-Up! Magazine as a member of their Chicago Class of 2014. A purveyor of everything fashion, Level!-Up Magazine’s Summer issue will also feature the likes of King Louie, Katie Got Bandz, the WHOevers & Mikey Dollaz among others. We’re definitely happy for everyone who made the cover and can’t wait to see the interviews in full, click the link below for more info regarding the release.
